Other Forms Of Heel Pain
There are over 15 different diagnoses for pain under and around the heel bone, with Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles Tendonitis the most common. Symptoms can vary from person to person and not every diagnosis is the same.
In adults, other than the Plantar Fascia and the Achilles Tendon causing the pain, there can be injury to the fat pad, nerve and bone to name a few.
Accurate Diagnosis Is Very Important
Finding the true diagnosis will allow the best treatment option to be utilised. As Heel Pain can manifest in many different ways, with many different causes, it can take time to accurately diagnose. This can sometimes mean utilising imaging such as Ultrasound, Xray or MRI. As well as clinically performing tests to narrow down the true cause.
